On Lighting
A layered lighting approach is used to highlight sustainably sourced millwork, recycled and low-VOC finishes, and natural material textures. Integrated lighting within shelving and display elements enhances product visibility while maintaining soft, glare-controlled ambient illumination. Carefully selected colour temperatures and high colour rendering support accurate product perception, aligning with the brand’s emphasis on clean and honest beauty.
Lighting is used to define zones within the store, guide circulation, and create moments of focus without visual clutter. Subtle accent lighting establishes focal areas for hero products and educational displays, while concealed and low-impact fixtures minimize visual noise and material waste. Ceiling treatments and lighting placement are designed to respect the mall’s base building constraints while still expressing a distinct brand identity.
Overall, the project demonstrates how lighting can communicate brand values through restraint, material integrity, and sustainable design choices, creating a retail environment that feels natural, thoughtful, and aligned with the ethos of clean beauty.
